THINK new Danish craft and design

Danish Crafts cooperates with the Danish Design Centre and the Consulate General of Denmark in Milan on a common promotion of all Danish exhibitors and design companies present in Milan during the design week.

During this year's design week in Milan the entire spectrum of Danish design will be on show. From the great masters of the past to the new innovative and highly skilled generation. Traditional furniture companies and new commercial design business will be represented alongside young craftspeople and designers with pioneering new designs.

'THINK new Danish craft and design' is the title of the cooperation between Danish Crafts, the Danish Design Center and the Consulate General of Denmark in Milan. The cooperation's aim is to co-promote Danish design during the Milan Design Week.

The Consulate General of Denmark in Milan will organize a joint Danish pavilion at the Salone del Mobile - the world's leading design fair.

In addition to the Danish furniture companies at the Salone del Mobile, a wide range of other Danish design activities will take place in Milan in connection with the fair and the design week. To name a few, textile company Kvadrat and the furniture company Fritz Hansen both present new products in their showrooms in Milan. And the young Danish design company Muuto will exhibit in the prominent design gallery Spazio Rossana Orlandi - where Danish Crafts presented a small MINDCRAFT spin-off exhibition during last year's design week.

For the fourth consecutive time Danish Crafts presents the curated exhibition MINDCRAFT; this year MINDCRAFT is located in Ventura Lambrate. Moreover the Danish Design Centre is present for the second time, this time showcasing their exhibition STILLIGHT - one hundred Danish pendants, in Zona Tortona.

'THINK new Danish craft and design' is financed by The Danish Ministry of Culture, The Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Danish Arts Agency.
