The Danish Ministry for Culture has allocated 40 million DKK to promote Danish design, crafts, architecture, and design research from 2005 to 2008. The funds were allocated based on the significance of these areas for overall development in Denmark, not least the international attention drawn to these fields. During this period Danish craft will receive a total of around 8 million DKK.

This joint effort involves:
» International marketing focusing on China and New York.
» Shared advisory- and professionalizing services focusing specifically on the problems and challenges facing craft and design as well as the
» Common delegation of travel grants to provide recent graduates and young designers, architects, and craft artists with the opportunity to professionalize and gain international experience.
